Torqa 1.6.6: trainer targets you can actually hold

New

  • Trainer targets from your indoor power. Most riders hold less on a trainer than on the road. Sessions now aim at your sustained indoor hour, not your outdoor FTP, so a tempo block feels like tempo.
  • It learns your indoor ratio. Torqa compares your power at the same heart rate indoors and out, and watches how you ride its sessions: turning the intensity down, easing off early, how hard you said it felt. Your targets settle where you actually ride.
  • Fifteen curated sessions. Hand-written rides of 30, 45 and 60 minutes that change every minute or three, from rolling build-ups to all-out efforts. Save any of them to your week, ride them on the trainer, or send them to your Wahoo.
  • Varied workout styles. Customise a workout now offers the plain session beside rollers, stepped efforts, building sets and surges. Same focus, same length, more going on.
  • Let's Train browses everything. Suggested, Workouts, Rides and Gauntlets, under your plan and trainer cards. No need to open Trainer Mode to find a session.
  • Trainer rides on your Lock Screen. A Live Activity and Dynamic Island show the set, power and time left, with pause and intensity controls.
  • Pause and auto-pause. Stop pedalling for three seconds and the ride waits for you.

Improved

  • Indoor rides read as indoor rides. The activity page shows Indoor power, the targets you were set behind your power line, how much of the session you held within 5%, and Virtual speed.
  • Indoor load is scored against indoor power, so a hard trainer hour stops looking easy.
  • Virtual speed comes from your own outdoor riding, not a racer's position. 213 W no longer reads as 35 km/h.
  • Indoor rides in the feed show their power as a graphic when there is no map or photo.
  • Coach builds options straight away. Ask for a 45 minute tempo ride and you get the plain session and a couple of styles to choose from, not questions first.
  • Plan sessions say what they are on the trainer, beside the watts for the road.
  • Up next appears in the last minute of a block and locks 30s before the change.
  • The completed ride sheet keeps one clear save button.

Fixed

  • Trainer rides were missing their charts on the activity page.
  • The processing card finished before the ride had matched to its plan session.
  • Cooldowns could drop below a useful floor.
  • Virtual speed read 10 to 20% fast.
